RCB’s Next Rajat Patidar? 3 Madhya Pradesh League 2025 Batters RCB Could Sign In IPL 2026

This season has unleashed several talents who we could see at the IPL next season

After 12 days of non-stop action, the Madhya Pradesh League 2025 comes to an end today, with the Bhopal Leopards taking on Chambal Gariyals in the final.

We’ve seen some exhilarating action and, unsurprisingly, this season has unleashed several talents who we could see at the Indian Premier League (IPL) next season. SRH’s Aniket Verma was scouted from the Madhya Pradesh League last season, and he went on to have a superb IPL 2025.

Likewise, we look at batters from this season who could be signed at the IPL 2026 auction and could potentially go on to do big things in the league.

Abhishek Pathak - Bundelkhand Bulls

28-year-old Abhishek Pathak has, without question, been the standout batter in MPL 2025, hammering 266 runs at an average of 44.33 and a strike rate of 246.3. The right-handed opener, who represents Bundelkhand Bulls, smashed 25 sixes — 6 more than any other batter in the league.

He also registered the highest individual score in the competition, hammering 133 off just 48 balls against Jabalpur Royal Lions, an innings in which he smashed as many as 15 sixes.

Remarkably, MPL 2025 saw Abhishek hit a boundary every 2.4 balls.

He could very well be the Indian top-order beast RCB are looking for.

Ritik Tada - Jabalpur Royal Lions

Jabalpur Royal Lions might not have made it to the final, but Ritik Tada has certainly established himself as one of the finds of the season.

A finisher, unlike Abhishek, Ritik amassed 173 runs at an average of 58 and a strike rate of 216.3. He hit 13 sixes in the tournament, and his balls-per-six ratio of 6.2 was the third-best among all batters in the competition.

Ritik had three outstanding knocks - all over 200 SR - with his best knock coming against Bundelkhand Bulls, where he smashed 75 off 30 balls.

Indian finishers are invaluable. Ritik might very well incite a bidding war.

Rishabh Chouhan - Gwalior Cheetahs

Another middle-order batter who had an outstanding MPL 2025 was Gwalior Cheetahs’ Rishabh Chouhan.

Batting all his innings at No.5, Rishabh was the highest-scoring middle-order batter in the season, amassing 252 runs at a remarkable average of 84. And yet he remarkably went at 192.4.

What was impressive was that the 26-year-old right-hander had an impact in almost every game, crossing the 40-run mark in 4 of the 6 innings he batted. Barring one game, Gwalior won every match in which the right-hander crossed the 40-run mark.

Rishabh can also bowl left-arm spin, so expect teams to keep a close eye on him.
