A few days ago, a video of former India batter Vinod Kambli circulated on social media, where he was struggling to walk alone on a road. In the video, the 52-year-old needed assistance from the passers-by to help him out. Many on social media expressed concerns over Kambli's health, but the stylish southpaw has confirmed that he is perfectly fine and is ready to bat at three if needed.
"I'm good," giving a thumbs-up sign, Kambli said in a video from his flat in Mumbai, according to a report by Times of India.
"By the grace of God, I'm surviving. I'm fit and fine. I'm ready to bat at No. 3 (jokingly). I'll hit the spinners outside the ground like we used to play at Shivaji Park!"
Kambli played 17 Tests and 104 One-Day Internationals (ODI) for India between 1991 to 2000. Considered to be one of the most talented players from that era, the left-handed batter hit 1,084 runs at 54.20 in Tests and smashed 2,477 runs at 32.59 in ODIs.
