In his 64-ball stay, Parag hit a staggering 26 boundaries (16 fours and 10 sixes)
Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) Riyan Parag has sent a warning message to the rest of the teams ahead of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), smashing 144* off 64 balls in an intra-squad warm-up match ahead of the T20 extravaganza.
In his 64-ball stay, Parag hit a staggering 26 boundaries (16 fours and 10 sixes). A whopping 124 off Parag’s 144 runs came via boundaries.
In a video posted on RR’s official X account, Parag’s teammates can be seen applauding him as he made his way back to the dugout. In the video, skipper Sanju Samson can be seen shouting ‘Well done, macha, nice hitting’ to Parag as he made his way back after a marathon knock.
After a tumultuous first few seasons in the IPL, Parag enjoyed a breakthrough season in IPL 2024, where he smashed 572 runs at an average of 52.09 and strike rate of 149.22. It was the third-most runs by an uncapped player ever, with only Yashasvi Jaiswal (2023) and Shaun Marsh (2008) bettering his tally of 572.
Post IPL 2024, Parag went on to represent India in both ODI and T20I cricket.
