Earlier last month, former Indian head coach Rahul Dravid suffered a foot injury in his return to competitive cricket, representing Vijaya Cricket Club in Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Group III. There were rife speculations as to whether Dravid would miss parts of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
However, Rajasthan Royals have confirmed that Dravid will return to their camp soon. The 52-year-old missed parts of the camp due to his injury. In the image shared by the franchise, Dravid was seen wearing a cast on his left leg, which kicked off all the speculations.
"Head Coach Rahul Dravid, who picked up an injury while playing Cricket in Bangalore, is recovering well and will join us today in Jaipur," the Royals said in a post, putting an end to all speculations.
Dravid ended his international tenure as India’s head coach by winning the prestigious T20 World Cup in the United States of America and the Caribbean. The 52-year-old now would want to pick up another silverware, this time for the Royals, who haven’t won the IPL since the inaugural edition, when Shane Warne led them to the title.
