In an ugly spat, the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), after Jaydeep Bihani, convener of RCA's ad hoc committee, hinted that the Rajasthan Royals (RR) may have thrown away their match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Jaipur on purpose, according to a report in IANS.
RR were cruising towards an easy victory in pursuit of 181, but fell just two runs short in the end.
RR management has dismissed these accusations, calling them "false, baseless, and without any evidence." They have also complained to the Chief Minister, Sports Minister, and Sports Secretary and called for strict action to be taken against Bihani.
"We reject all allegations made by the convener of the ad hoc committee. Such public statements are not only misleading but have caused serious damage to the reputation and credibility of Rajasthan Royals, Royal Multi Sport Private Limited (RMPL), the Rajasthan Sports Council, and the BCCI. They also tarnish the integrity of cricket."
The franchise further emphasised the fact that they work in full compliance with the BCCI guidelines.
