Sai Kishore Lights Up County Championship With Maiden Fifer For Surrey
The left-arm spinner picked up seven wickets in the match against Durham
Left-arm spinner Sai Kishore, who signed a two-game contract with Surrey, has picked up his maiden fifer in the County Championship, in the game against Durham at Chester-le-Street on July 31 (Thursday). Overall, Sai Kishore finished with seven wickets in the match.
In the first innings, he picked up the wickets of Bas de Leede and wicketkeeper Ollie Robinson, helping his team bowl Durham for just 153. Surrey then took a 169-run lead, thanks to fifties from Ryan Patel (58), Dan Lawrence (88) and Jordan Clark (82).
In the second innings, Sai Kishore then picked up three of the last four wickets to fall as Durham collapsed from 311/6 to 344 all out. He bowled nearly 42 overs in the second innings and finished with 5/72, which is an excellent effort.
As a result, Surrey need just 176 to win and further extend their lead at the top of the County Championship Division One, where they have won three and drawn seven of their previous 10 games.
The 28-year-old, who plays for Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), picked up four wickets in the previous game against Yorkshire in Scarborough.
