Follow UsThe fourth edition of the Saurashtra Pro T20 League, which started out as the Saurashtra Premier League, is here. The tournament will kick off on June 7 with the first match between the Halar Kings and Sorath Lions at the Nirajan Shah Stadium in Rajkot from 5 pm IST onwards.
Apart from the first game, June 7 will also witness an opening ceremony that will begin after the end of Game 1. Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez and music duo Salim Sulaiman will entertain the crowds present at the stadium.
The tournament comprises five teams, representing five different areas of the Saurashtra region of the Gujarat state. The league is governed and administered by the Saurashtra Cricket Association, a member body of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which runs cricket in the country.
Kutch Riders are the defending champions, having won the last season in 2023.
All the five teams will go against each other twice in a round-robin format and the two teams, which will finish at the top of the points table, will play for the silverware in the final on June 20.
