Schitt's Creek actor Eugene Levy is in India and attended one of the Rajasthan Royals' (RR) training sessions. The award-winning Canadian actor and comedian also met RR head coach and Indian legend Rahul Dravid and received a personalised jersey.
"Schitt just got real! Eugene Levy is a Royal,” the franchise posted on their Instagram account.
"Now that you're a Rajasthan Royals fan, we've got a special gift for you. Hopefully you'll wear it with pride watching out games,” said Dravid, while handing over the jersey to Levy.
The 78-year-old, who is also known for his characters in American Pie and Waiting for Guffman, has won four Primetime Emmy Awards, a Grammy Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
Responding to Dravid, Levy said: "Well, there it is. I’m a Royals fan. My first cricket team, and it will always be my first cricket team."
The Royals have won only three of their 12 fixtures in the IPL 2025 and are currently placed at No.9 on the points table. They are already out of the race for the playoffs.
The IPL 2025 will restart on May 17 (Saturday). RR will play Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Jaipur on May 18 (Sunday).
