Sexual Assault Investigation On Renowned Cricket Figure In His 40s Shocks England

English cricket was shocked yesterday when a renowned 40-year-old cricket figure reportedly came under investigation for spiking the drinks of two women and then sexually assaulting one of them. 

According to reports mentioned in leading English dailies, the 40-year-old man was interrogated by the Metropolitan Police in June, only after the incident happened in a pub in south-west London on May 

“Two women are believed to have been spiked, with one also allegedly sexually assaulted. A man in his 40s was interviewed under caution on Thursday, June 5. Enquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage,” the police said in their statement, without naming the accused. 

The incident came as a shock also because some serious steps were being taken in England cricket to stop such instances from occurring, as many such incidents have happened in the recent past. In August and November, two coaches were suspended after cases of sexual harassment and lewd behaviour were revealed about them.
