Shahbaz Ahmed traded to SRH, Mayank Dagar moves to RCB
Both players will move to the franchises at their existing fee
All-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed has been traded to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), while Mayank Dagar moves the other way in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) trading window, the league announced in a media release.
Shahbaz, who has played 39 IPL matches, was brought by RCB in the 2022 auction and has been traded at his existing fee of INR 2.4 crore. He has played three ODIs and a couple of T20Is for India since making his debut in October 2022. Dagar too will move to RCB for his existing fee of INR 1.8 crore.
The right-handed all-rounder has also played for Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the past. He played three games last season and managed just one wicket.
All franchises are given till the end of the day today (November 26) to finalise their retention list. According to a report on Cricbuzz, it could also prove to be the end of the road for Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel as far as their stints with RCB are concerned.
For SRH, though, they could let go of Harry Brook after just one year at the franchise. He was bought by the Orange army for INR 13.25 crore in the last auction from a base price of INR 1.5 crore.
