Bangladesh have announced their squad for the one-off Test against Ireland slated to commence from April 4 to 8 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, with Shakib Al Hasan at the helm.
The all-rounder, along with Litton Das were touted to join the Kolkata Knight Riders after the white-ball series, but they will join the team after the completion of the Test on April 8.
BCB president Nazmul Hassan stated that the IPL franchises were well aware of the departure dates of the players and were informed before the mini-auction.
"We will let them the players go to the IPL in accordance with what we informed the tournament about their availability. We haven't changed our decision," said Hassan as quoted by ESPN Cricinfo.
The team will also be bolstered by the return of Tamim Iqbal and Ebadot Hossain, who missed out on the Test matches against India due to groin and finger injury, respectively in December 2022.
The home team has defeated Ireland 2-0 and 2-1 in the fifty-over format and T20Is that took place last week in Sylhet and Chattogram.
