Shakib to miss Bangladesh's T20Is against Pakistan

Star all-rounder Shakib al Hasan was ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to a hamstring

Bangladesh star all-rounder Shakib al Hasan is set to miss the T20I series at home Pakistan due to the hamstring injury he suffered during the ongoing T20 World Cup. The three-match series is set to be played at the Shere Bangla stadium in Dhaka from November 19-22.

However, the 34-year old might be available for the two-match Test series beginning from November 26.

"Shakib will take at least three weeks to recover and get back to the field. He might be able to play the Test series," Bangladesh Cricket Board's chief physician Debashish Chowdhury told Cricbuzz.

Chowdhury was also hopeful that wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan, who has been laying low due to abdominal pain and missed the last three games in the World Cup, will be available for the T20I series.

After scraping through the qualifiers in the World Cup, Bangladesh endured a dismal Super 12s stage where they all lost all of their five encounters.
