Shaw fined for Code of Conduct breach

Delhi Capitals openers Prithvi Shaw has been fined 25 per cent of the match fee and received a reprimand for breaching IPL's Code of Conduct during the match against Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday.

Shaw, who was dismissed for five runs in Dushmantha Chameera's second over, reacted angrily as he walked off to the dugout.

"Mr Shaw admitted to the Level 1 offence under Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction," an official release said.

"For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding," it added. 

DC lost the match by six runs as they remained sixth in the IPL 2022 table with eight wins and five defeats.
