Bangladesh received a boost for their white-ball series against West Indies as pace duo Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam returned to training. Shoriful suffered a wrist injury during the home series against Sri Lanka last month while Taskin injured his shoulder during the Test series in South Africa prior to that.
Both the players were ruled out of the two Test against West Indies beginning on June 16.
"Today I started my bowling and bowled six overs at sixty to seventy percent intensity," Shoriful told Cricbuzz.
"Hopefully in one week or so I will be able to bowl at full rhythm," he added.
According to Cricbuzz, Taskin had started bowling in the nets since June 1 and is close to a full recovery.
"I am bowling four overs one day and eight overs the alternate day and following the instruction of the physio to get prepared for the white-ball series. I am not feeling any pain at the moment and looking to regain my full rhythm before the tour of West Indies," Taskin said.
Taskin is likely to feature in the three T20Is scheduled for July 2,3 and 7. The series will be followed by the ODIs on July 10, 13 and 16.
