NEWSPunjab Kings (PBKS) all-rounder Moises Henriques bowled a magnificent spell against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), which included the wickets of Virat Kohli and also Devdutt Padikkal. However, despite his best efforts, his side fell short and their chances of making the playoffs now hangs in a balance.
Henriques said that it was important to put away the bad deliveries given that Sharjah is not among the biggest stadiums. “This isn’t the biggest field, and we should take advantage of any bad balls they bowl. It is going to be difficult if they are accurate and tight with their lines and lengths,” Henriques said in the post-match virtual press conference.
Henriques, who finished with figures of 3 for 12 in his four overs, also added that he just let the pitch do much of the work in Sharjah. “It seemed to play quite similar to the last couple of pitches here. I tried to bang it into the pitch and hit the top of off. For me, it was important not to bowl too full and try and let the pitch do the rest,” he said.
PBKS are currently in fifth place in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 points table with 10 points from 13 games. They take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Dubai in their final group stage match o Thursday (October 7).
