Simarjeet Singh replaces Arjun Tendulkar in MI squad for remainder of IPL 2021

Arjun Tendulkar has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 due to an injury and will be replaced by Delhi fast bowler Simarjeet Singh for the rest of the tournament, the franchise announced on Wednesday (September 29).
The pacer has required the mandatory quarantine as per IPL protocols and has begun his training with the squad.
Left-arm pacer Tendulkar was picked up by MI for his base price of INR 20 lakh in the IPL 2021 auction, but has not played a game for the franchise yet. The 22-year-old made his t20 debut for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) earlier this year and in his two matches, for his domestic team, he managed to pick up two wickets.
Simarjeet, 23, has 18 T20 scalps to his name. He has done so at an economy rate of 7.75 and has struck once every 15.5 deliveries, 20.50 runs apart. In the recently concluded SMAT tournament, Simarjeet picked up seven wickets from five matches, with a best bowling figures of 2 for 21 in Delhi's campaign.
The pacer also has 37 first-class wickets and 19 List A wickets to his name.
