Sri Lanka will tour Bangladesh for a short three-match ODI series later this month. The Sri Lankan cricket board announced the itinerary on Wednesday, May 5th.
The Sri Lankan team will depart for Dhaka on May 16 and will be in quarantine for the next two days. Post-training for a couple of days, the team will play an intra-squad practice game on May 21.
The ODIs will be played at the Sher-e-Bangladesh National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur on May 23, 25 and 28. All these will Day/Night encounters. Sri Lanka will be the second foreign team to tour Bangladesh amid the COVID-19 pandemic after the West Indies who toured for two-Tests and three ODIs earlier this year.
The two sides just wrapped up a two-test series in the island nation in which Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh 1-0 after coming on top in the second Test.
