Smriti Mandhana became the first left-hander in women’s cricket to play 150 T20I games as she stepped out to bat for India in the second T20I against England at County Ground, Bristol.
Mandhana, who recently became the only Indian woman to score a century in all three formats after scoring a match-winning ton in the first T20I in Nottingham, is the second Indian to reach the milestone after skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who returns in the second T20I after injury, and has played 179 T20Is so far, the most in women’s cricket. Deepti Sharma is third on the list of most T20Is played with 125 T20Is.
Worldwide, New Zealand’s Suzie Bates is second after Harmanpreet with 177 T20Is, followed by England’s Danni Wyatt-Hodge, who’s playing the game in Bristol as well, and has 174 T20Is to her name.
