It was another superb batting display by India Women in the second One-Day International (ODI) against Australia Women in Mullanpur on September 17 (Wednesday) as they put up 292 batting first. In doing so, India registered the second-highest ODI total against Australia in WODIs.

It was once again Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal who got India off to an excellent start, putting up 70 for the first wicket at better than run-a-ball pace. As a result, they became India's most successful opening pair.
This was their 12th 50-plus stand as an opening pair, which also includes five centuries.

Mandhana, who scored 58 in the first ODI, smashed her 12th century in ODIs, her third against Australia. Only England's Nat Sciver-Brunt has scored centuries against the Aussies in the 50-ovr format.

Riding on this century by Mandhana, India posted a competitive 292 on the board. India then bowled Australia out for 190 and won the game by 102 runs, levelling the series 1-1. The final ODI will be played at the same venue on September 20.
