South Africa Women will embark a multi-format tour of Australia that will see them playing three One-Day Internationals (ODI), three T20 Internationals (T20I) and a one-off four-day Test - the first-ever between the two countries. The matches will be played between January 27, 2024 and February 18, 2024.
The tour will begin with the T20I series with the Manuka Oval, Hobart hosting the first two matches, before the action shifts to Bellerive Oval, Hobart for the final game.
The ODI series will be part of the ICC Women’s Championship campaign (2022-25), which is a pathway to secure qualification for the 2025 World Cup, which will be held in India. The three matches will be shared between Adelaide Oval which will host the first game while the remaining matches will be played at the North Sydney Oval.
The Test at WACA will mark just the seventh game in the format that the Proteas Women will play since their readmission and their first since their drawn Test against England last year.
The two teams has clashed in the T20 World Cup final, earlier this year. This was the first time any senior South African side (men or women) had made it to the final. However, their wait to get their hands on the coveted trophy was extended after they were pipped by a formidable side led by Meg Lanning.
