South Africa's Tazmin Brits Attains Career-Best ODI Ranking After Record Fifth Ton In 2025

The South Africa opener smashed 101 against New Zealand in the Women's World Cup recently

Fresh from her fifth One-Day International (ODI) ton in 2025, South Africa opener Tazmin Brits attained her career-best rankings in the latest ICC Women's ODI rankings for batters. She jumped two spots to go fourth on the list after smashing 101 against New Zealand in the Women's World Cup on October 6 (Monday).

No woman cricketer had hit five ODI centuries in a calendar year before Brits. She went into the mega event in good form, having smashed an unbeaten 171 against Pakistan in Lahore less than 20 days ago. She now has 706 rating points, still some way behind Smriti Mandhana (791), who is currently at the top of the ladder.

Not just Brits, Australia's Ashleigh Gardner too attained her career-best rankings, moving into the top five for the first time in her career, following her impressive century against New Zealand. New Zealand skipper Sophie Devine also reached a career-best-equalling eight position at the back of 112 and 85 against Australia and South Africa, respectively.

Following her gritty 81 against India, Pakistan opener Sidra Amin broke into the top 10 for the first time. Among the bowlers, Marizanne Kapp moves to fifth, while Alana King moves one spot up to seventh.
