The whole tournament has been played on the same ground. In the first eight matches, apart from the one where Jamaica Tallawahs clubbed 255 runs, it has been a mixed bag of scores in the first innings. There has been one score of 120, one in 130’s, two in 140’s, three in 150’s, two in 160’s and one in 175. On an average 161 runs have been scored in the first innings and an average of 147 runs has been chased as target.
This season, there has been a lot of spin on offer, which has made things difficult for batsmen to score against them. Hence, the economy is on the lower side. However, the spinners (23.8) have a very poor strike rate as compared to the pacers (17.2). Even with the share of wickets, pacers (68.7%) have been much better than the spinners (31.3%).

The old stalwart of Pakistan has been at his best in recent times, especially with the bat. Mohammad Hafeez has scored over 1500 runs at an average of 36.9 and strike rate of 134.1 and has bagged 15 wickets at a strike rate of 27.2 in T20s since 2020. In this season, he has scored 132 runs at an average of 44 and has picked up four wickets. Hafeez is a certain delight to the fantasy team and that is why he is our preferred captain

Across both teams, there has been one batsman who has been in rich vein form and that is Tim David. The Singapore based batsman has been scoring runs at an average of 33 and strike rate of 162.3 in the year 2021 CPL. His consistency has been one of the biggest perks behind him earning calls for big teams.

Alongside Hafeez, Shimron Hetmyer has been at the batting front for the Warriors with 137 runs at an average of 34.3 and a strike rate of 124.5. His tally is the second most for a batsman this season of CPL. In a season where batsmen have struggled to score runs with consistency, his batting perks are a certain X-factor.

The spiceman showed his presence in Kings previous match against Knight Riders. Though Andre Fletcher’s knock of an unbeaten 81 went in vain, getting back to form is a blessing for Kings. With 118 runs at an average of 59 and strike rate of 134.1, the spiceman is Kings highest run scorer this season.
