Team India, Are You Watching? 21-year-old Vidarbha Star Continues Outrageous FC Run

Before this, Malewar had scored 153 & 73 in the Ranji Trophy final against Kerala

21-year-old Danish Malewar’s dream start to first-class cricket has just gotten better as the right-hander, today in Bengaluru, hit his third FC century to start the Duleep Trophy 2025 off with a bang.

Playing at No.3 for Central Zone, Malewar posted an effortless ton against North East Zone to start the new domestic season off in perfect fashion. The ton continued an outrageous run of form for Malewar in red-ball cricket, as he has now scored two centuries and posted three more 70+ scores in his last four first-class appearances.

Before this, Malewar had scored 153 & 73 in the Ranji Trophy final against Kerala as he helped Vidarbha win yet another Ranji title.

With 783 runs at an average of 52, Malewar was Vidarbha’s third-highest run-getter in the 2024/25 Ranji Trophy. He’s already made heads turn with his start, and another solid domestic season in 2025/26 will surely put him on the radar of the Indian selectors.

With the No.3 spot still up for grabs in the national side, Malewar could end up playing for India sooner than we all expect, should he continue this run going.
