India speedster Jasprit Bumrah revealed why he does not believe in setting goals any more. The pacer is going to be a key player for the Indian unit on their tour of England in June-July 2025.
Speaking on the Beyond23 YouTube channel of former Australia cricketer, Michael Clarke, Bumrah said, “I just try and enjoy it because that's why I started this sport. Take one day at a time and collect memories because, at the end of the sport, that's all I'll remember."
The 31-year-old also said that he is looking forward to bowling in England with the Dukes ball.
"Playing in England is always a different challenge. I always loved bowling with the Dukes ball. But I don't know how much the Dukes ball is doing right now because there's always constant changes to the ball,” he said.
“But the weather, the swinging conditions. And then when the ball becomes soft, there's always a challenge. So I always look forward to playing in England,” he added.
The pace bowler, who will be 34 by the time of the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028, is excited about the scenario of playing in the biggest sporting spectacle on earth.
"Now, I've heard there's an Olympics in cricket coming as well, so that is something I'm really looking forward to. Who would have thought cricket would become an Olympic sport? So, yeah, that's something that excites me,” he said.
