THESE IPL Stars FLOPPED In Madhya Pradesh League 2025 — Including Venkatesh Iyer

Venky Iyer could only average 13.00 with the bat in MPL 2025

We’re coming to the close of yet another successful Madhya Pradesh T20 League edition, with the Bhopal Leopards taking on Chambal Gariyals in the final today in Gwalior.

Several youngsters have made their presence known, and have already put themselves in a great spot to get picked at the IPL 2026 auction. However, equally, several established names have also ended up enduring really poor seasons, possibly putting their own IPL careers in jeopardy.

We look at many such notable names who have ended up flopping in the 2025 Madhya Pradesh League.

Venkatesh Iyer

After a horror IPL season, Venkatesh Iyer would have hoped to have a good MPL 2025 season, however, things have not gone according to plan for the KKR man. He only featured in two games, and in those matches averaged 13.00 with the bat (104 SR) while taking 2 wickets at an economy of 10.20.

To make matters worse, the side he captained, Indore Pink Panthers, finished sixth, winning just a solitary game.

Kuldeep Sen

Kuldeep Sen warmed the bench for Punjab Kings throughout IPL 2025, and at the time of writing this, he’s had a forgettable MPL 2025 season as well.

He’s so far taken just 1 wicket in 4 games, while going at an economy of 11.30. He conceded over 10.50 RPO in every single match he played.

Unless he redeems himself by having a stellar performance in the final later today, Kuldeep might end up going unsold at the IPL 2026 auction.

Kulwant Khejroilya

The Gujarat Titans (GT) star has had a nightmare MPL 2025. A teammate of Venky Iyer at Indore Pink Panthers, Kulwant Khejroliya has ended up taking just 4 wickets in 5 matches at an economy of 12.1. The E.R of 12.1 is the second-worst among all bowlers in the competition (min 15 overs).

Khejroliya bowled the second-most expensive spell of the competition in the clash against Bundelkhand Bulls, conceding 61 off the 4 overs he bowled while taking no wickets.

Arshad Khan

Another GT star, Arshad Khan, has so far had a very underwhelming campaign. Playing for Bhopal Leopards, Arshad has managed to take just 4 wickets, albeit at a decent economy of 7.7.

He’s been particularly disappointing with the bat, however, averaging just 11.67.
