NEWSIndia batsman Hanuma Vihari who is in the middle of a County Championship stint with Warwickshire says that he is trying to prepare as best as he can for the World Test Championship (WTC) final and the England series, further adding that the current Indian team is capable of doing outstanding things.
"I am trying to prepare in the best way possible for the WTC final and the England series. It's going to be interesting and exciting as well for all the Indian fans because it's the first edition of the WTC. We are in the finals and we are playing New Zealand, which is going to be challenging in these conditions, we all know that, but the Indian team can do outstanding things," Vihari told India Today.
Vihari is likely to return to the Indian XI after injuring himself during the Sydney Test, where he faced 161 deliveries for 23 to help his side to a draw. His knock helped India keep the series alive and they eventually went on to win in in the final Test at The Gabba.
The Andhra batsman managed just one fifty from seven innings in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and in the County Championship, he has a highest score of 52 in six innings.
Having made his debut in 2018, Vihari has gone on to play 12 Tests for India so far and has notched up 624 runs at 32.84, which included four fifties and a century in 21 innings.
