Three members of Pakistan Women's team at the preparatory camp in Karachi have tested positive for COVID-19, the Pakistan Cricket Board said in a statement on Thursday. The 18-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against West Indies had entered the bio-secure bubble after testing negative for the virus.
The three unidentified players will now undergo a mandatory 10-day quarantine period until November 6 after testing positive on Wednesday. The rest of the squad and staff will also isolate themselves until November 2 and will undergo test every alternate day.
The squad is assembled at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre in Karachi for the three-match ODI series set to be played from November 8-14 at the Karachi National Stadium before flying to Zimbabwe for the 2022 ODI World Cup Qualifier.
