Tymal Mills picked up 2/38 against the Northern Superchargers in The Hundred on August 13 (Wednesday), and as a result, he went past Jasprit Bumrah in a unique T20 record. Mills now holds the record for having more T20 wickets in a country than Bumrah.
With the wickets of Zak Crawley and Harry Brook, Mills now has 211 T20 wickets in England, which is one more than Bumrah, who has 210 in India. Only Samit Patel (255) and Danny Briggs (286) have more wickets than Mills in England.
Overall, India's spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Piyush Chawla hold the record for most T20 wickets in a country. Both have 289 scalps in their respective counties, followed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar (254) and Amit Mishra (248).
Mills' efforts went in vain as Graham Clark tonked a last-ball six off Mills to hand Souther Brave their first defeat of the season.
