Tymal Mills suffers leg injury in Sri Lanka clash

England seamer Tymal Mills limped off due to a quadricep injury during the clash against Sri Lanka

England pacer Tymal Mills limped off during their Monday's 26-run win over Sri Lanka which cast a doubt over his availability for the next Super 12s match against South Africa.

During the 14th over Sri Lanka's chase Mills bowled three legal deliveries and a wide before stopping midway in his run-up to the fourth ball. The pacer then limped off the field after what looked quadricep injury. Sam Billings replaced him as the substitute fielder while Chris Woakes completed the remaining three balls of the over.

Mills bowled 1.3 overs and conceded 19 runs without claiming any wickets in the match. Mills has been England's joint top wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup alongside leg-spinner Adil Rashid with seven wickets from four matches at an economy of 8.

Monday's win over Sri Lanka almost confirmed a semifinal spot for England and will next face South Africa on Saturday.
