USA Cricket finds itself in further trouble, as all-rounder Akhilesh Reddy has been charged with multiple breaches of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code. As a result, the all-rounder has been put under provisional suspension while the inquiry is ongoing during the Abu Dhabi T10 2025.
The tournament organisers too posted an update on the same, “TTen Sports Management (TSM) confirms that a player has been formally charged by the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit (ICC ACU). We fully respect the process underway.”
Reddy has three charges against his name, under Article 2.1.1, 2.1.4 and 2.4.7, as reported by Cricbuzz.
Article 2.1.1: Attempting to fix, contrive or improperly influence the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of matches in the ADT10 2025.
Article 2.1.4: Soliciting or encouraging another participant to engage in conduct that breaches Article 2.1.1.
Article 2.4.7: Obstructing an anti-corruption investigation by deleting data and messages from a mobile device relevant to the inquiry.
The all-rounder has been suspended as a result, with him having 14 days to respond to the charges.
