Varun Aaron moves from Jharkhand to Baroda

The pacer has announced on Twitter that he will be moving to Baroda for the upcoming domestic season

Experienced pacer Varun Aaron has announced on Monday that will be playing for Baroda in the upcoming domestic season as he quit Jharkhand after 18 years.

Aaron, who played nine Tests and as many ODIs for India, posted on Twitter to announce his decision.

"Goodbyes are never easy!! As I leave the jharkhand team @cricketjsca, which has  been my cricketing home for the last 18 years , I am going on to represent Baroda @cricbaroda in the upcoming domestic season. Looking forward to a great season with the boys in Baroda," Aaron tweeted.

Once considered India's fastest bowler, Aaron made his international debut in the home ODI series against England in 2011 and his Test debut in 2014 against West Indies. However, multiple injuries had seen him fall down the pecking order in the national set up.

The tearaway fast bowler made his debut for Jharkhand's senior team in 2008-09 Ranji Trophy season against Jammu and Kashmir and played 39 first-class matches claiming 114 wickets at an average of 28.3.

Aaron also played 53 List-A games and 36 T20s and claimed 131 wickets with the white-ball.
