Mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy has been included in India’s squad for England ODIs beginning in Nagpur on February 6.
Chakravarthy had recently taken 14 wickets in just five T20Is against England — the most by an Indian bowler in a T20I bilateral series, and has been in stellar form as he also took 12 wickets in four T20Is in South Africa before the England series.
His inclusion comes just before India’s departure to Dubai for the Champions Trophy. His performances in the England ODI series might push Team India to think about him being part of the Champions Trophy squad.
As of now, India already have a stacked spin attack for the tournament with Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar in the squad. All the four are also featuring in the ODI series against England which will act as India's dress rehearsal for the ICC tournament.
