Vidarbha Pro T20: Jitesh Sharma Hits Last Ball Six To Take His Team To Final

With five needed on the last delivery to reach the final, the NECO Master Blaster skipper smashed a six to win the game for his side

After winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Jitesh Sharma has managed to reach the final of yet another T20 competition.

Jitesh, who is captaining the NECO Master Blasters in the Vidharbha Pro T20 League, smashed a six on Atharva Taide’s spin bowling when his team needed five runs of the last delivery of the semi-final against Bharat Rangers and made his team the first one to reach the final of the tournament.

Skipper Jitesh smoked 46* off just 22 deliveries in the 205 run chase after Adhyayan Daga (66 off 38) and Aryan Meshram (49 off 35) set a really good platform for him to come and do the finishing job after coming to bat in the 14th over. He led the chase brilliantly, and eventually, his team won the game by six wickets.

Earlier, Atharva Taide (94* off just 53) and Varun Bisht (50* off just 15) played brilliant innings to help Bharat Rangers score 204/3 in their 20 overs. The 21-year-old Bisht really impressed with his quick-fire half-century, as he hasn’t made his debut for the Vidarbha State T20 side. He even bowls handy off-spin and conceded just 26 runs in his four overs.

However, their bowling proved to lack the incisive skills to trouble the opposition, and despite using as many as nine bowlers while defending, they failed to win the game and reach the final. It was a bit surprising that skipper Taide bowled the last over; however, none of the bowlers before had impressed.
