Digvesh Singh Rathi has not just been a revelation for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) with the ball but has also been in trouble twice this season due to his notebook celebrations.
He was fined 25% of his match fee for his first offence, which involved celebrating in Punjab Kings (PBKS) batter Priyansh Arya's face. In the next game against Mumbai Indians (MI), he did something similar when he bowled Naman Dhir.
However, on this occasion against Kolkata Knight Riders, instead of scribbling on his hand, he wrote something on the ground when Narine holed out at deep cover for 30 off 13.
“I saw Sunil Narine bowl, and since then, I’ve loved bowling. I want to make my mindset more attacking like his. Like he takes pressure for the team," Rathi said of Narine.
He has picked up seven wickets this season so far and has conceded just over seven an over - surely not bad returns. Moreover, he is yet to go wicketless this season.
