Indian captain Rohit Sharma was furious at fast bowler Harshit Rana, after the latter was found throwing the ball recklessly at the striker’s end, and it went for four overthrows.
Rohit was livid with the newcomer’s approach, giving away free runs to the opposition--England during the second ODI of the three-match series on February 9 (Sunday) at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.
The incident took place in the 32nd over. Jos Buttler, who was new to the crease, was not even looking for a single when the bowler, playing only his second game, threw the ball and the wicketkeeper, KL Rahul, could not even get close to it, let alone cover it.
Visibly upset, Rohit could be seen mouthing, “Dimaag Kaha hai tera?,” which would loosely translate to “Use your brains and not give easy runs to the opposition.”
England lost the first ODI and are trailing 0-1 in the three-match series.
