North Delhi Strikers' skipper Harshit Rana left the commentators befuddled when he broke the bail into half in the side’s clash against West Delhi Lions, on August 11 (Monday) in Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025.Â
In the clip that has gone viral on social media, the KKR pacer has clean bowled West Delhi Lions’ batter Ayush Doseja, with a delivery that not just beat his defence but also broke the bail. It was a pace on delivery from Rana, who beat the left-hander’s defence, as the ball went on to smash against the leg stump.Â

If that wasn’t enough, Rana also sent the left-hander off, pointing his fingers towards the dressing room, earning himself unwanted attention. The 23-year-old was fined 10% of his match fees for breaching the DPL Code of Conduct, under Article 2.5.Â
Article 2.5 deals with “Using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from another player in the match”. Rana’s side successfully defended 165, winning by 11 runs in that clash.
