WATCH: Jasprit Bumrah Back Bowling In The Nets; Shatters Middle-Stump
Bumrah has taken the first step towards a comeback and has started bowling once again
In what comes as hugely encouraging news for both team India and Mumbai Indians (MI), Jasprit Bumrah has resumed bowling in the nets again.
Bumrah has been struggling with a back injury that he picked up during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia and is sitting out the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy owing to the same reason. However, he’s taken the first step towards a comeback and has started bowling once again.
Bumrah took to Instagram today to post a video of himself bowling in the nets, where he could be seen rattling the middle and leg-stump with a trademark full delivery. The speedster posted the video with the caption, ‘Progress Everyday’.
The news will be particularly encouraging for Mumbai Indians, who will be hoping that Bumrah returns to action during the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
IPL 2025 starts on March 22, giving Bumrah ample time to recover and get back to prime fitness. Long-term, India will be hoping that the ace speedster stays fully fit for the five-Test series against England, starting June 20 at Headingley, Leeds.
