Karthik SU (53 off 43) with the bat and Krishnappa Gowtham (3/29) with the ball played well on a crucial night for the Mysore Warriors, helping them reach the final of the tournament.
Batting first, Karthik was excellent at the top and scored a crucial 53 (43) as Ajith Karthik and Karun Nair fell cheaply. He kept the game moving from his end as S Sharath (26 off 27), Sumit Kumar (18 off 16) and Manoj Bhandage (26 off 11) also gave crucial contributions from their end to take the Warriors to 177/8 in 20 overs.
Meanwhile, the Tigers started off aggressively and were 72/3 in 7.3 overs. However, Gowtham and Jagadeesha Suchith (1/26 in four overs) bowled brilliantly to restrict Hubli to 168/5 in 20 overs, and Mysore won the game by 9 runs.
The final will now be played between Mysore Warriors and Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters today, September 1, from 7 PM at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
