August has started off on the worst possible note for RCB star Jacob Bethell, who failed for a second consecutive game at The Hundred 2025. After scoring 5 in the previous clash against Trent Rockets, there was a lot of hope pinned on the youngster to turn his form around.Â
However, bad turned worse for Bethell, who got out for a two-ball one in the ongoing clash against Southern Brave, on August 10 (Sunday). The left-hander was trying to work one through the leg side against Michael Bracewell before the ball crashed against his stumps.Â

Bracewell picked up another wicket in the same set, removing a well-set Will Smeed to continue his great run. It was a golden chance for Bethell to hit back at the critics after his horror shot at The Oval gave India a much-needed opening in the second innings, as the visitors won the Test by six runs.Â
In the entire Test in London, the left-handed batter could only get 6 and 5, failing to nail down his spot ahead of the upcoming Ashes later this year. The 21-year-old didn’t have much of a role with the ball either, bowling just six overs in the entire Test.
