Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)’s explosive all-rounder Romario Shepherd lit up the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025 with a breathtaking knock against Saint Lucia Kings in Match 13 on August 26 (Tuesday). Representing Guyana Amazon Warriors, Shepherd blasted an unbeaten 73 off just 34 balls, an innings studded with five fours and seven towering sixes.
The highlight of his carnage came in the 15th over, where Shepherd created a rare spectacle by plundering 20 runs from a single legal delivery against Oshane Thomas.
Here’s how the drama unfolded:
Thomas overstepped on the third ball of the over.
He then bowled a wide, keeping the free hit alive.
Shepherd smashed the next ball over deep mid-wicket for six – only for Thomas to overstep again.
Another delivery, another no-ball, and another maximum over the ropes.
Finally, when Thomas managed to stay behind the crease, Shepherd still sent him sailing for a third consecutive six, this time over deep square leg.

The sequence read: N6, N6, 6 - 20 runs off a single legal ball. Thomas ended up conceding 33 runs in the over, while Keon Gaston’s 17th over leaked 27 runs.
Thanks to Shepherd’s fireworks, Guyana Amazon Warriors piled up 202/6 in 20 overs. But despite his heroics, the total wasn’t enough. Tim Seifert (37 off 24), Ackeem Auguste (73 off 35), and Shepherd’s RCB teammate Tim David (25 off 15) powered Saint Lucia Kings to a commanding chase, sealing victory with 11 balls to spare.
