PSL continues to do PSL things as Multan Sultans pacer Ubaid Shah smashed his own wicketkeeper, Usman Khan, during his celebration while trying to high-five, on April 22 (Tuesday) against Lahore Qalandars.
Batting first, Multan Sultans’ opener Yasir Khan put on a show with the bat, smashing a 44-ball 87, with 12 boundaries (6 fours and 6 sixes). Even Usman Khan had a positive contribution for the side, with a 24-ball 39, with five boundaries and a six, as the 2021 PSL champions got themselves to 228/5 after 20 overs.
Lahore Qalandars got themselves off to a great start, on 38/0 in 3.1 overs, before their run chase derailed. One of the architects behind Multan’s win was none other than Ubaid, who picked up 3/37, with wickets of Fakhar Zaman, Daryl Mitchell and Sam Billings.
It was during the celebration of one of those wickets when the pacer smashed his own wicketkeeper, leaving Usman on the floor as the teammates around him laughed.
