We feel very safe inside our bio-bubbles, says de Kock

The South Africa wicketkeeper-batsman returned to form with an unbeaten 50-ball 70 against RR

Mumbai Indians (MI) wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock, whose unbeaten 70 helped his side to a comfortable seven-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals, says he feels safe in the bi-secure bubbles. MI are currently in fourth place in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 table, with six points from as many matches.

"To be honest, we trust in our doctors, so we are pretty safe in our bubbles. At least we feel very safe and it is quite easy," de Kock said after MI's win over RR.

Adam Zampa questioned the bio-secure bubble after returning home from the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) camp, saying that it was the 'most vulnerable' bubble he has been a part of. But de Kock does not think so.

De Kock had a torrid time in Chennai, scoring just 47 runs from four innings, but bounced back to form in Delhi, where the wicket was far better to bat on.  "Obviously, it was a lot bit easier to bat over here. Was quite pleasant. We are just happy to win it. It feels good to score some runs again, especially in a winning cause," the southpaw said.

"Yeah, genuinely with our team, we always try and get one of our top four just bat through to the last (part) of our innings. We did that today and obviously the changes from Chennai to Delhi have helped a bit," he added.

MI will look to add to their win here when they take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Saturday (May 1) in Delhi.
