A day after Rajasthan Royals (RR) ended their disappointing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 campaign with a win against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Yashasvi Jaiswal put up a post on Instagram, which sparked speculations of the star opening batter leaving the franchise ahead of the next season.
The Royals could only win four of their 14 encounters in the IPL 2025, but Jaiswal had a stunning season with the bat. The left-hander slammed 559 runs at an average of 43 and a strike rate of 159.7, studded with six fifties. Jaiswal scored 29 or more in 10 out of 14 innings.Â
"Thank you, Rajasthan Royals, for everything. Not the season we hoped for, but continue to be grateful for our journey together. On to the next challenge 🇮🇳 and whatever the future brings YBJ 64," Jaiswal wrote on Instagram.
Jaiswal was retained for INR 18 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. The aggressive batter will now feature in the five-match Test series in England, starting on June 20. Jaiswal is also part of the India A squad that will play two four-day games against England Lions, starting May 30.
