Riyan Parag came to the toss on May 1 (Thursday) against the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur, dressed in all pink and with a woman dressed in pink as well. It is because this match, match number 50 in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, is the 'Pink Promise' Match.
In this match, the Royals, who usually wear pink and blue, are wearing all pink to support the Royal Rajasthan Foundation (RRF)’s campaign of 'Aurat Hai Toh Bharat Hai'.
The Royals' website statement explains the reason for the Pink Promise Match as, “The Royals’ Pink Promise is to continue supporting women-led transformation in Rajasthan.”
“Last year, the ‘Pink Promise’ campaign, along with support from partners like Luminous, illuminated thousands of lives by bringing light to over 250 homes,” added the statement.
So, in this game, all the proceeds from this ticket sale will go to the RRF, which will help it in its endeavour to uplift women-led transformation in Rajasthan.
The Sambhar Lake Town Municipality will benefit the most from the match, as the RRF foundation will light up six homes in that municipality for every six hits. This is the second year that the all-pink match has been played in Jaipur.
