Why RCB Fans Will Be Supporting CSK For Remainder Of IPL 2025

Gujarat Titans’ loss against LSG means that Top 2 qualification is no longer in their hands

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) might have won the clash against Gujarat Titans (GT) today in Ahmedabad, but the biggest winners from the contest were Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

Gujarat Titans’ loss against LSG means that Top 2 qualification is no longer in GT’s hands. Conversely, Top 2 qualification is now in the hands of both RCB and PBKS.

If RCB and PBKS win each of their remaining two games, then both teams will get to 21 points and seal top two qualification. GT’s loss today means that the maximum they can get to is 20 points, even if they win their final fixture. So they will be reliant on other results to make the top two now.

But why will RCB fans (and PBKS fans) be supporting CSK for the remainder of IPL 2025?

Well, simple. GT’s last group game of IPL 2025 is against none other than CSK. Should CSK beat GT in that match, it will mean that both RCB and PBKS can finish in the top two even if they win just one of their remaining two games.

If CSK beat GT, then GT will be stuck on 18 points. Both RCB and PBKS are on 17 points currently, and one win will take them above GT.

While RCB’s remaining two games are against SRH and LSG, PBKS play MI and DC.
