The wait will continue for Bangladesh all-rounder Soumya Sarkar, who is set to miss the T20I opener against Afghanistan due to visa complications, on September 30 (Tuesday). Sarkar, who made a comeback at the expense of Litton Das, hasn’t received his visa, delaying his comeback further.
Bangladesh’s full-time captain Litton Das is set to miss the entire series, failing to recover from a muscle strain that he sustained during the Asia Cup. With 63 and 45 in the National Cricket League (NCL), Sarkar forced his comeback into the Bangladesh setup.
"Till now he did not get the visa (for UAE) and we are waiting for it but if we can get it(visa) tomorrow he will fly as soon as possible," a BCB official confirmed to Cricbuzz.
The three-match T20I series is set to kick-off on October 2 (Thursday), with the two subsequent encounters on October 3 and 5.
