Will Bangladesh's Tour Of Pakistan Go Ahead As Planned? Here's What BCB Said
Before the Pakistan tour, Bangladesh are supposed to play two T20Is against the UAE
After the end of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, the Pakistan were supposed to host Bangladesh for a limited-overs tour. However, now that the PSL 2025 has come to an abrupt halt owing to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, whether Bangladesh would still tour Pakistan has become a tough question to answer.
Before the Pakistan tour, Bangladesh are supposed to play two T20Is against the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and that firmly remains on the cards. The two matches will be played at the Sharjah Stadium on May 17 and 19, respectively. The five T20Is against Pakistan were to be played from May 25 to June 3.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed that they are not yet sure about their Pakistan commitments, although their team will definitely tour the UAE.
"As part of its continued commitment to international engagement and preparation, the Bangladesh National Team will tour the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a two-match T20 International series against the host nation as scheduled. The series is set to commence next week," A statement from BCB read.
"The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is in active and ongoing discussions with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the Bangladesh National Team's forthcoming tour of Pakistan. The BCB wishes to reiterate that the safety and security of its players and support staff remain the Board's highest priority,” it added.
