Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) spin-bowling all-rounder Sunil Narine is all set to feature in Match 12 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on March 31 (Sunday), head coach Chandrakant Pandit has confirmed.
"Sunil is 100% fit. He has definitely recovered well, and he's been practising since yesterday," KKR head coach Chandrakant Pandit said on March 30 (Sunday).
"Today, he is practising as well, so he is absolutely fine."
Narine missed KKR’s last match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on March 26 due to illness but has returned to training ahead of the match against Mumbai.
Narine was replaced by Moeen Ali, who picked up two crucial wickets in KKR’s eight-wicket win in Guwahati. The all-rounder from England could miss out if Narine returns to the XI.
Narine has picked up 26 wickets in 23 games at an economy of 6.8 against Mumbai Indians. With the bat, however, the left-hander averages only 5.1.
In KKR’s first match of the IPL 2025 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Narine hit 44 off 26 and took 1/27 in four overs.
