Will treat every game as a final and give my best: Rashid

Rashid Khan insisted that he will look at every fixture for the franchise as a final and will give his 100%

Languishing at the bottom half of the table with just two points, Sunrisers Hyderabad have a daunting task in front of them if they have to reach the playoffs of the 2021 IPL season. However, last season despite being in a similar state, the franchise pulled all their resources together and made it to the last few stages of the competition.

This season, they would have to do it without the services of Jonny Bairstow, one of the mainstays in the Sunrisers’ batting setup. Ahead of the resumption of the competition, SRH’s star player Rashid Khan stated that he will treat every game as a final and give his 100% best.

"Definitely looking forward to the rest of the season, yeah we didn't have the ideal start in the first half of the tournament but looking forward to finish up well and treat every game as a final and give my 100 per cent," Rashid said in a video posted by SRH.

Over the last few months, Rashid has put on impressive displays with the bat, striking at 154.7 in the shortest format. While he hasn’t quite lit up the IPL this season with his bat, the leg-spinner insisted that he is focusing on having the right mindset before the restart of the competition.

"From one and a half years, I have been working on my batting as last 15-25 runs are very crucial for the side. So just trying my best to do different things, haven't practised a lot of shots in the nets but I'm just focusing on having the right mindset," said Rashid in a video posted by SRH.

The Men in Orange will kick-off their season with their clash against Delhi Capitals, on Wednesday (September 22).
