Lucknow was witness to the single-most extraordinary batting performance in Women’s Premier League (WPL) history as UP Warriorz (UPW) wreaked havoc against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in what was a must-win clash for the latter.
Batting first after losing the toss, the Warriorz posted 225/5, the highest total in WPL history. But that was not all, as Georgia Voll, the 21-year-old Australian opener, posted the joint-highest score in WPL history (99* off 56 balls). She agonisingly missed out on a ton despite being on strike on the last ball.

Credit also has to go to the duo of Grace Harris and Kiran Navgire, who were integral in UPW posting the record total. While Harris smashed 39 off 22 balls, Navgire hammered 46 off 16 balls. She also was agonisingly close to posting the fastest fifty in WPL history.
UPW are already out of the race for the playoffs. With a loss today, RCB will also bow out.
